FAQ

Questions before taking part.

Short answers to common questions about taking part in the Everyday Life Study.

Why did my household receive an invitation?

The study is being hand distributed to selected delivery points in the local study area. Receiving a pack does not mean your home has been individually profiled or monitored.

What can I describe?

Choose one genuine situation from within the previous three months where something was difficult, inconvenient, took extra time or effort, or led you to make a decision, take action or use a workaround. An ordinary activity that went normally is not the intended example, and the situation does not need to be dramatic or serious. You can have dealt with it directly or helped someone else deal with it.

Can two adults in the same household take part?

Yes. More than one adult from an invited household may participate independently. Each individual should submit only once.

Do I have to enter the rewards?

No. Research participation and reward participation are separate choices. Rewards are only for qualifying eligible submissions that are genuine, relevant and include enough meaningful detail to be useful for the research. Simply completing the questionnaire does not automatically qualify. Qualification does not depend on giving a positive answer, being willing to pay or suggesting a product or solution.

When is an email address required?

The questionnaire only requires an email when you choose reward participation or optional future follow-up contact. If you choose neither, research participation does not require an email.

Does the questionnaire collect reward delivery details?

No. The main questionnaire does not collect reward delivery details. A qualifying reward recipient is contacted separately and later provides only the minimum information needed for personal hand delivery of the physical gift card.

What does the code on my invitation identify?

Only a broad part of the local invitation distribution. It does not identify your address or household, and your household address is not sent to the questionnaire.

How long will the questionnaire take?

Allow around 15 minutes to complete the questionnaire.
